Terms, Conditions, and Pricing
Tandem Skydive: A Tandem Skydive is the first step in our training program and is required before proceeding to the next step, the AFF Skydive (see Student Jump Programs).
Age: You must be at least 18 to skydive at Tennessee Skydiving LLC.
Weight: Maximum weight is 225 lbs. If over 6 feet tall, maximum weight is 230 lbs. If we feel that your physical condition or body shape is not appropriate for skydiving we will not allow you to jump regardless of your weight.
Payment: We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, checks, and cash.
Reservations, Deposits, and Refunds: We require reservations and a valid credit card to hold a reservation. If you cancel your reservation less than 48 hours before your scheduled jump, or if you fail to show for your jump, your credit card will be charged a fee of $75. If you show for your jump and we are unable to complete it due to weather, aircraft problems, etc, you will be given your choice of a full refund or a rain check good for a jump at another time. If you choose the rain check option, you will be given a $10 discount.
Time: You must budget 4 hours for your jump. Your jump is usually completed in about 2 hours but you must be prepared to stay 4 hours to allow for delays due to weather, aircraft issues, student backlog, late arrivals, etc. Skydiving is not like a Church Service, a Carnival ride, it is not Bowling, and it is not done in a controlled environment where we can guarantee an exact schedule. You must be prepared to stay 4 hours.
Video and Still Picture Policy: If you purchase the video and still picture package, an experienced freefall photographer will film and photograph all aspects of your experience. Getting ready, you in the aircraft, in freefall and your landing will all be captured on film and photos.
As it is physically impossible for the freefall photographer to video more that one Tandem in freefall, each Tandem jumper must have his/her own photographer.
Your video will be edited, matched with music and put on a DVD which will be mailed to you. Your still pictures, in most cases, will be burned to disc immediately and sent home with you that day.
Your still pictures are taken with digital cameras and this allows us to take many pictures of your jump. As we do not edit these pictures prior to transfer to your CD (unlike your edited video DVD), there will be some great pictures, some good pictures, and some really bad pictures as the camera is allowed to run even when the videographer is not looking at you. You may get pictures of the floor of the aircraft, the ground, the sky, but you will also get a large number of really good pictures. We do not guarantee a specific amount; there are usually plenty of pictures.
We have many experienced freefall photographers and their techniques, presentation, and editing all differ. Your video may not look exactly like others in your group and, in fact, it may be better, different, or not as good. We do have a high skill standard that all videographers must meet.
There are no cameras made that are specifically designed to be used in freefall. We use modified consumer cameras (Sony, Canon, Nikon) and they are usually very reliable. On rare occasions they do malfunction, or the lenses fog, and we do not record your jump. If this happens, we will refund the price of the video, or stills, or both.
